What is GhostUnit?

A preloaded, plug-and-play personal AI computer. Plug it in, connect from your phone, and you have your own always-on AI assistant at home.

Do I need any tech skills?

No. It arrives preloaded. Setup is a short wizard in your phone's browser.

How do I set it up?

Plug it in. The unit creates its own Wi-Fi hotspot. Join it from your phone and the setup wizard opens: join your home Wi-Fi, connect your accounts, name your assistant.

How does the AI work?

GhostUnit runs your assistant at home, around the clock, and uses cloud AI models for the heavy thinking. Connect the AI account you already have, or get one through GhostUnit.

Does it work offline?

The AI thinking runs on cloud models, so an internet connection is needed.

Is my data private?

GhostUnit is your own box, in your home. Remote support is optional and only with your permission.

Is GhostUnit made in the USA?

GhostUnit is programmed, set up, tested and supported by our team in Los Angeles. Like nearly all computers, its hardware components are made by manufacturing partners overseas.

Who do I call if I need help?

Our US-based team. Email hello@ghostunit.ai and a real person in the US will help you. With your permission, we can also securely help fix things remotely.

Does it update itself?

Yes. Automatic updates are built in.

What hardware is inside?

A compact, quiet mini PC with a quad-core processor, 16GB RAM and a 500GB SSD. A Pro tier with upgraded hardware is coming.

How much does it cost?

$1,499 early-bird pre-sale; $1,699 regular price.

How does reserving work?

Pay a $99 refundable deposit to hold your unit at the early-bird price. We'll email you before your unit ships to complete your order.

When will it ship?

GhostUnit ships starting December 15. Reservations ship in the order they were placed, so reserving early gets you one of the first units.

Is there a subscription?

Not required. An optional support and updates plan is under consideration.
